There is no doubt that PC Gaming is as adrenaline as a bungee jump. But have you seen someone getting stopped in the middle of a bungee jump? Surely not! And it is the pure adrenaline effect experienced at the height of thrill. Well, the poor gamers do experience a ‘sudden stop’ at the peak of thrill, all because of poor battery performance of wireless gaming mouse. We gamers hate nothing more in the whole world when our ‘adrenaline effect’ stops right in the middle of extreme excitement. In fact, there is an eternal war between gamers and battery power of wireless gaming mouse.

The gaming peripheral manufacturing companies always try to pacify the gamers with time to time improvements in this regard. Here Logitech has done something great to let us experience our adrenaline effect with no obstruction by offering a gaming mouse which can last up to a whopping duration of 250 hours of nonstop gaming.

Logitech is a brand that never forgets to find out the best ways to enhance the performance of gamers, therefore, it introduced a wireless gaming mouse, G602, a tough wireless gaming mouse that is reliable, well-designed and offers low-lag which is great for its price.

It has been on the market for more than a year now, but the gamers are still sticking with it and interested in getting a new one. So in this Logitech G602 review, we will see what exactly makes it good and why it is still high in popularity.

Battery

No doubt, battery is an important factor for wireless mouse. Logitech G602 is powered by 2 AA batteries that amounts to about 250 hours of gameplay. Although mouse is meant to work with single battery that can last for 125 hours of gameplay and at the same time keep the mouse weight down and performance high.

Performance Mode Switching

The best thing about Logitech G602 is the central button to switch Performance to Endurance mode to give you 1440 hours battery life. But this will reduce sensitivity and precision, therefore, you will need to use it while you aren’t gaming actually.

Delta Zero Sensor Technology

Logitech G602 features sensor with Delta Zero technology from the company’s G-line, which is highly effective in saving power. We can use two modes of operation as Performance and Endurance. In the first case, we find 250 hours of gaming. With endurance, we can reach more than 1,400 hours.

Mouse Design and Ergonomics

Not very rocking design, mouse is peddling familiar shape as well as buttons’ configuration. Even new gamers will experience right at their home with it. Downside of this mouse is that it isn’t as comfortable as Razer Chroma mouse and not as original as Mad Catz.

G602 is right-handed mouse, which is most comfortable with palm-grip. Thumb rest extends out from side for additional support, and the ribbed rubberized texture improves the grip while the palms become sweaty. Curvature of mouse feels organic and users are satisfied to say that it is the comfiest design out there. No doubt, lack of wires results in a mouse which is easy to slide, however, its smooth bottom also assists it to glide flat surfaces.

Mouse Buttons

Mouse has altogether 11 buttons

  • Left/Right click buttons
  • 1 Performance modes switcher
  • 2 up/down DPI toggles
  • 6 re-programmable buttons on side
  • 1 scrolling wheel

Comparatively, buttons are less than other MMO mice, however, this mouse can be considered an all-rounder. Button placement is good, easily accessible and may be exception of the performance mode switching that is a bit difficult to toggle. What is great here is that side buttons can easily be differentiated, regardless they are small as well as close together. Blue LED rows on side are used in order to display the DPI level you are at.

Weight

It is not cumbersome beast, just 107 grams is lighter as compared to Razer Mamba’s 125 grams weight.

DPI Range

Any gaming mouse must have high DPI Range. DPI is mouse’s native sensitivity. Higher DPI means cursor can move farther relative to hand movements and allow user to achieve actions as quickly as possible.

Logitech G602’s DPI range from 250 to 2500, which is very slow for doing anything, however, latter is fine for gaming purposes. Usually professional gamers like DPI settings above 4500. Serious gamers may like to look for other option. Casual gamers that are not worried about hyper twitching gameplay are comfortable with G602’s DPI.

Actionable Wireless Range

Its wireless range is of 3 meters, which clearly means that the gamers can easily move around if needed.

Software

Unlike competitors, Logitech’s software lacks snazzy name, but this does not mean that it is not great and it has many useful features.

For installation, only plug-in wireless 2.4 GHz USB receiver is required which comes in pack. It’s best time to say that this mouse comes with USB extension cable for receiver that can be used to reduce distance between mouse and dongle. As soon as receiver is switched in, driver gets installed. It offers a host of features including DPI toggle presents, program macro commands for several buttons and setting up, save and assign game profiles. The best thing is that software automatically detects when a specific game is booted up and it loads relevant profile automatically.

Performance

Logitech G602 is best for MOBA games because of sufficient re-programmable buttons that are useful for games like Dota 2 and League of Legends. Maximum DPI is fine to keep your pace in battle games and other RTS games like StarCraft II.

G602 isn’t good at FPS games. This is because of its low native sensitivity which doesn’t allow you to whip cursor across screens as fast as running mouse with 6000 plus DPI, therefore, it is difficult to compete in games like Call of Duty and Counter Strike. No doubt, casual gamers would not have any problem with it and tracking is much more reliable to aim precisely at shooter.

Although G602 MMO is not as good as twelve button Razer Naga Choroma, most MMO gamers find six side buttons enough for playing competently.

Overall, Logitech G602 has performed good for almost all game genres. It is largely down to consistent smooth tracking that is because of Logitech’s inspiring Delta Zero Sensor, and best wireless connection. Manufacturer claims it to be lag-free with 2ms response rate that we can guarantee for as being nearly impossible to observe. Honestly speaking, this mouse felt just like using wired mouse, with/without mouse pad.

Bro you have no idea what your talking about. Professional gamers do not use OVER 4500 DPI. They usually set it between 800 and 1200. 4500 would be super sensitive. Do your research before posting bs reviews.

ignoring your ignorance, DPI settings based on several factors like screen resolution and sensitivity. Moreover it gives a gamer greater control over the mouse movement and acceleration. Here is a relevant thread for your understanding

I don’t know what you’re talking about. There are very few “professional” gamers that play on high DPI. You can’t aim as accurately with high DPI. Most professional CSGO players use sub-600 DPI. 400-500 is the average. The only pro gamers that would use a higher sensitivity are MMO, MOBA, or osu! (non-tablet) players. They (other than the osu! players, who can use in game sensitivity adjustment) won’t be using an optical mouse, because they want acceleration. I personally use 450 DPI.

Another thing to mention is that unless your PC is a 1996 Windows 95 potato with a Pentium, polling rate won’t add any stress to your CPU. Tbh a Windows 1.0 machine probably wouldn’t have an issue with anything up to like 1300hz (avg for a gaming mouse from my experience).

It’s completely inacurate information. You need to do some fact checks before writing a review because right now, at least to me, you seem like an inexperienced reviewer. I’m going to take everything you say about this mouse with a grain of salt because of this.

Firstly, let’s agree that DPI/CPI or any customization that effects mouse performance is purely a personal preference. Doesn’t matter pro gaming or not.

Now, theoretically speaking, higher DPI and lower sensitivity is always recommended however some people preferred the opposite of it i.e. lower dpi and higher sensitivity. Also if are using multiple monitors or resolutions like 2560 x 1600, then higher DPI is a better option.

As for CS:GO case, we agree that most popular choice is 400 but people also prefer 800 (even above) once they level up. Low DPI usually helps in better aim but higher DPI helps you with speed. So once you get used to better aiming, the next logical step would be to do it quickly, hence the higher DPI levels.

For example, read the DPI preference on this thread & you can see our point 🙂

Logitech G602 will yet usually be bae into my heart. Make mouse clicks on the G900 by Logitech able to be faster and it is just perfect, no doubt with time it will gradually be finer.

Yeah, I wonder I will keep my Logitech G502’s much better switches, ergonomics, buttons positions and size for cost of getting to look at cable
